Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Salim Ullah is an Independent Director of the Board of Directors of Pioneer Insurance PLC.

Mr. Salim is a former Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh and held various senior-level positions in the Ministry of Finance. He joined the BCS Administration Cadre in 1991 and carries with him vast experience and expertise gathered from home and abroad.

Mr. Salim completed his B. Com (Hons) in 1986 and M. Com in 1987 in Finance from the University of Dhaka. He obtained an MSc in Macroeconomic Policy from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, Japan, in 2013. Additionally, he has participated in professional training programs both at home and abroad, including at the Harvard Kennedy School (USA), Asian Institute of Technology (Bangkok, Thailand), Bank Negara Malaysia, Institute of Diplomatic and Foreign Relations (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia), National Institute of Bank Management (Pune, India), and University of the Philippines.

Since joining government service in 1991, he has served in field-level administration in different capacities, including Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Senior Assistant Commissioner, and Upazila Nirbahi Officer.
